The mammalian circadian clock strongly influences when and to what extent certain genes are transcribed in each tissue throughout the day. A new study, published today (February 2) in Science, shows that this daily schedule of gene expression depends partially on a person’s sex and age… More
N6‑methyladenosine (m6A), the most abundant RNA modification, can participate in various physiological functions and pathological processes by regulating the expression or structure of genes due to its involvement in all aspects of RNA metabolism…. More
Southwestern blotting is a technique used to study the interaction between DNA and protein. It combines aspects of southern and western blotting techniques, combining the detection of DNA and protein, respectively. It is similar to other types of bloating, involving the separation of proteins and subsequent transfer to nitrocellulose membranes, after which a Southwestern blot…

The congress will be entitled «Back…
Scientists need to meet to stay up-to-date within and beyond one’s own research field, to exchange and fuel new ideas, to keep inspired and to inspire others….. More
Early life is seen as a particularly sensitive period for environmental exposures. Natural space exposure during pregnancy has been associated with offspring health. Epigenetic gestational age acceleration, a discrepancy between clinical and DNA methylation-based gestational age, may underlie these associations…. More
Dr. Manel Esteller and Dr. Verónica Dávalos, researchers at the Josep CarrerasLeukaemia Research Institute, describe in a new article the impact ofepigenetics on cancer treatment and how it has become a crucial tool toimprove early detection, predict disease progression and become a target fornew treatments….
